Proper rewards and map selection, 2 new cards levels, relics, shop-upgrades and tons of choices.
So, I have been working hard to deliver this giant update that has tons of changes and will alter the way this game is played significantly.
First of all, the rewards UI at the end of the stage is re-worked to display information much better and to also show you information clearer.
Also, there will now be a total of 6 different types of rewards you can choose from:
1. Spells-exchange -> Same as before, exchange 1 of your spells for a new one and reset it cost
2. Cards -> Same as before: add 3 new cards to your deck and your hand.
3. Relic -> Now, you get your relic the moment you select it, feels more intuitive for me at least.
4. Shop-upgrade -> New! You can now upgrade your shop, for 1 of 3 features,
+ Level (min & max card level sold in shop)
+ Price reduction: shop will sell cards for cheaper price. Note that this REDUCTION is applied AFTER %discount, so for example, if a card cost 24g, shop has a level 2 price reduction (-2g) and 75% discount from card effect, then the cost of the card will be 0.25 * 24 - 2 = 4g!
+ Size: Increase the size of the shop to sell 3/4 cards per reel instead of just 2. Also, this size increase will also increase the Utility-row (which has reset shop and lock shop) which will add random spells that you can buy for gold, and will cost 0 mana to use.
5. Healing -> Same as before, receive a healing card and a maxHp card. However, now it's a choice you have to make to choose (or ignore). Also, make the system more consistent as it will always heal 33% of maxHP and give you 33% of more MaxHP
6. Utility spells x3 -> 3 random 0 cost utility spell to add to your hand, such as delete card, move-reel, respin, etc ...
From the world-map, you can select which kind of rewards you want to get.
Also, increase the number of stage from 4 -> 8, but make that each stage is shorter. So the boss will spawn at turn 4. This will make the game feels more fun and less of a drag.
Add card level 6 and level 7. They cost 72g and 96g respectively. Also adjust the power level of cards level 3 (slightly lower), 4 & 5, significantly weaker. Cards level 7 is a little bit strong than the previous level 5 cards, level 1 and 2 power level are the same, so the number are just crunched a little bit better.
New shop layer, so the cards are now show in vertical column instead of staggered row like before.
And some small relic upgrade here and there that I don't really remember since I just did too much work.
